Sample Linked Pages

This is a sample content of how linked pages are displayed and what they are. There are no restrictions in this content section on number of words, length of content, images, links or other items. You can have almost anything you need to display in this section.

What are ‘Linked Pages’?

Linked pages are our method for breaking up content and information on a particular topic into multiple pages that are grouped or linked under the same category.

Content should not be more than 2 or 3 paragraphs

In general, content should be short and easy to read, with topics chunked into sections of no more than two or three paragraphs. Using linked pages enables you to break up the content, but at the same time keep it together in one section.

What are some examples of linked pages?

Under your appointments page, you might have a need to describe how to make routine appointments, telephone appointments, home visits, private referrals, chronic illness follow-up appointments, etc. The list could go on.  You could put all this information on one appointments page with clear sections for each, but the page would be very long.  Alternatively, we recommend you keep the most applicable information on the appointments page, and then create a separate for items such as Home Visits or Private Referrals.  The would them appear on the right-hand side of the appointments page, clearly visible for anyone to click if it applies to them.

All pages and content around appointments would be grouped together as ‘linked pages’.  Not only does this help your patients navigate the site, but it helps Google organise your site structure so it can direct patients to the most suitable page based on their search query.
